CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
POSITION - YARD ASSISTANT - £18-22K (DEPENDING ON AGE AND EXPERIENCE)
You will be working in our busy yard in Thornbury, reporting to the Yard Manager, you role will include the following duties -
- Serving customers in the yard.
- Assisting drivers loading vans.
- Yard tidying.
- Fork Lift Operation.
This is a full time position, hours will be 07:30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday and two Saturdays a month 8:00am - 12:00pm.
The successful applicant will be given a basic uniform package which includes hoodies, t-shirts, wet weather gear and hi-viz.
We are a close team and support each other with tasks that are sometimes outside of the role, but in turn others are there to help you when needed.
Some occasional local deliveries will be required so a clean driving licence is needed.
You need to be able to make your way to and from our yard at BS35 3UF.
Punctuality and reliability is paramount, being a small team losing a cog in the machine however small makes a big difference, so a good working track reference is desirable.

Decking Delivery Delivery Rates
We are based in the north Bristol Area and we try to accommodate everyone’s deliveries.
We deliver to ALL BS, GL, SN, BA, NP & CF postcodes! As well as a few others!
Once your items are bought and paid for we will get them out to you within 3-7 working days (please see zone information below). You will receive an email notifying you of a 2-hour delivery window the day before your delivery is scheduled and will be able to track your driver on the day of delivery.
Delivery Terms
As per most timber/builder merchants, we are curbside delivery. You don’t need to be in, we’re happy to leave your items on your driveway or front garden as long as these are easily accessible for our drivers. Please note we cannot take goods through your house, up or down flights of steps or down alleyways round the back! This isn’t to be awkward, we don’t want to damage your property, the goods, or our staff! We hope you understand.
Once your items are bought and paid for we will get them out to you within the times specified above. You will receive an email notifying you of a 2-hour delivery window the day before your delivery is scheduled and will be able to track your driver on the day of delivery.
